To our friends and clients:
As we all deal with the impact that the coronavirus pandemic is having on our lives, we hope that you remain safe and healthy. Due to ongoing concerns about the spread of infection, the attorneys and staff at the Law Offices of Francis J. Discipio will be working remotely. However, we do not anticipate any interruption in the services that we provide to our clients, and our staff will continue to receive calls during our regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Our attorneys will be available to consult with clients via email, phone, and video conference. We encourage you to contact us at [[phone]] if you have any questions.
Below is some important information that may affect ongoing cases:
The Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County has ordered that courts will be closed from March 17 to April 15, and this period may be extended if necessary. During this time, most civil and criminal cases will be postponed, and only emergency motions will be heard. Those who have active cases will receive notification about new court dates after the courts have reopened.
The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, has suspended arbitration operations from March 17 to March 31. All cases scheduled for status, trial, or other in-person appearances will be automatically continued for 90 days.
We apologize for the inconvenience these events may cause. During this time, we can assist in resolving your case outside of the courtroom through negotiation, mediation, or using other solutions. We will remain available to discuss your legal matter, and we encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions.
