Guy J. Papa
Associate Attorney, Guy J. Papa, concentrates his law practice on criminal defense, real estate, personal injury, and workers compensation. Guy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 1998. He then received a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from Lewis University in 2007. Guy obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2013.
Guy’s passion for law developed at a young age. While in high school, Guy found himself shadowing his cousin at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Francis J. Discipio, criminal lawyer Guy J. Papa has worked for 15 years as a police officer. During this time he undertook a variety of assignments including: Patrol Officer, Tactical Officer, Detective and Sergeant.
He also gained experience in supervising gang and narcotics undercover operations and earned a Certification in Force Science. After working his way through the ranks, Guy decided to pursue a law degree. He has also drawn on his law enforcement background to teach Forensics classes at Valparaiso School of Law.
Guy is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Mont Clare/Elmwood Park Lions Club. He was the 2011 IANU David Award Recipient and was also recognized as Law Enforcement Man of the Year in 2009. Additionally, Guy is an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Broker.
